Pensoft is going to the International Congress of Entomology 2024 in Japan

23 August 2024

Pensoft, a leader in the publication of open-access journals and books on entomology and biodiversity, will participate in the upcoming International Congress of Entomology 2024 (ICE2024) in Kyoto, Japan, held from August 25-30, 2024.

Prof. Lyubomir Penev, Pensoft’s founder and CEO and founding editor of the ZooKeys journal, will represent the company at the event, connecting with fellow entomologists from around the world.

At Stand 25, attendees will get to know Pensoft’s wide array of open-access entomological journals, including ZooKeys, Biodiversity Data Journal, and Journal of Hymenoptera Research, along with a diverse range of books on insect systematics, ecology, and diversity.

Visitors will also be introduced to the ARPHA Platform, a cutting-edge publishing solution that offers a streamlined workflow for authors, reviewers, and editors.

In addition to its publishing portfolio, Pensoft will showcase its role in various Horizon-funded EU projects aimed at conserving pollinators. One such project is Safeguard, which focuses on reversing the decline of wild pollinators across Europe, with Pensoft taking the lead in communicating research outcomes and developing the Safeguard Knowledge Exchange Hub (Safe-Hub).

In the PollinERA project, Pensoft is responsible for leading the communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities to protect pollinators and lessen the impact of pesticides.

Pensoft also manages communication and knowledge sharing in the WildPosh project, which seeks to improve the evaluation of risks to wild pollinators from pesticide exposure and foster sustainable health for pollinators in Europe.
